This role will serve as the strategic thought partner for the Treatment Sales Leader, bringing together internal and external data to shape regional growth strategies while focusing on executing a prioritized set of strategic initiatives for the region, including but not limited to building business cases, sourcing partners and evaluating acquisition opportunities.Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:<ul><li>Identify and develop new business opportunities.</li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the region as well with internal stakeholders for Treatment Solutions.</li><li>Conduct product presentations, demos, technical consultations and trainings for internal and external clients.</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams to customize solutions based on client needs.</li><li>Provide feedback on internal and external clients issues, needs and areas of improvement.</li><li>Track market trends and competitor offers to support strategy execution (escalate feedbacks &amp; business opportunities from the market).</li><li>Introduce new products/solutions internally and externally.</li><li>Develop and deliver internal and external product / solution training.</li><li>Provide local support for Treatment products and solutions, roll out marketing strategies together with the Marketing Team including customer demonstration events, other public events to generate sales.</li><li>Attend training and sales/service meetings if necessary to stay up to date with new equipment and sales promotions.</li><li>Help with other tasks designated and managed by the company management within the framework of the goals of Xylem Water Solutions</li><li>Participate in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities.</li></ul>Key Competencies:<ul><li>Strategic Thinking &amp; Market Foresight</li><li>Business &amp; Financial Acumen</li><li>Building &amp; Leveraging Partnerships</li><li>Influencing Without Authority</li><li>Cross-Cultural Collaboration</li><li>Customer-Centric Innovation</li><li>Driving Results Through Others</li></ul>Key Relationships:<ul><li>External: End-users, consultants, contractors and partners.</li><li>Internal: Transport Product Management, Commercial Teams, Technical Department and Marketing.</li></ul>Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Preferred Environmental/Chemical Engineering degree and at least 10 years of relevant work experience (in sales, business development, engineering, consultancy preferably in water or industrial automation sectors).</li><li>Familiarity with Treatment applications, solutions and products.</li><li>Strong communication and consultative selling skills.</li><li>Good level of quantitative and analytical skills.</li><li>Ability to understand technical concepts and explain them in business terms.</li><li>Willingness to travel and engage with clients on-site.</li><li>Proficient in oral and written English.</li><li>Experience in the water and wastewater industry especially with public utilities and industrial customers.</li></ul>Preferred skills:<ul><li>Effective motivational, organizational and communication skills (written/verbal).</li><li>Effective coaching and mentoring skills are required.</li><li>Effective interpersonal skills with customers and employees.</li><li>Experience leading through influence.</li><li>Strong teamwork and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.</li><li>Ability to demonstrate effective influencing skills along with knowledge of selling practices and techniques.</li><li>Ability to provide superior customer experience and service.</li><li>Proven presentation and communication skills including face-to face interaction.</li><li>General knowledge of water/wastewater treatment systems and their applications</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and CRM systems such as Salesforce.com.</li></ul>Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
