About the Job

The Product Engineer executes new product development projects and maintains existing product lines per engineering instructions.

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Performs design calculations and component selections for new product development and existing product upgrades. 
  • Ensures that standard products are designed within code and safety standards, quality standards, reliability standards and compliance standards.
  • Executes standard product development projects per engineering processing instructions.
  • Provides necessary standard product documentation for customer/shop requirements and subsequent follow-up assistance as required.
  • Works with drafters to implement standard product development projects, maintenance and design changes.
  • Provides standard product engineering support for Service, Warranty, Sales and Project Engineering departments.
  • Develops and maintains support documentation and instructional literature for standard product lines.
  • Maintains integrity of standard engineering bill of material and part number systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering 
  • 0-10 years of experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Detailed oriented 
  • Customer oriented 
  • Self-motivated 
  • Ability to multitask 
  • Ability to thrive in a time-line driven environment 
  • Strong technical and analytical skills 
  • Ability to problem solve and resolve issues 
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills 
  • Provide on-time delivery of drawings, BOMs, and documentation to internal and external customers. 
  • Achieve target margins on Standard Products. 
  • Consider impact on customer satisfaction. 
  • Continuous optimization of engineering processes.
