Status: Fixed Term [1 year parental leave role], Full-time, Non-Exempt from Overtime (subject to extension based on funding and individual performance)

Our wide and diverse PLT Network provides professional development for educators and opportunities for young people to explore nature and the diversity of green careers in the forest and conservation sector. ABOUT THE ROLE

The Coordinator, Education Systems advances SFI’s mission by supporting goal areas for the education pillar including Program Research, Delivery and Reporting. Results will help SFI communicate the impact of our education and outreach programs, provide benchmarks to evaluate future performance, and reveal new opportunities to enhance impacts, grow partnerships, and secure funding. This work will be accomplished with the support and direction of multiple SFI Education Pillar staff.  


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Network Relationship and Operational System [35%] 

  • Coordinate the planning and execution of webinars and lead participant follow-up to deliver relevant and useful content to PLT delivery partners and PLT Network.
  • Deliver timely, responsive, and quality service to all PLT customers on an ongoing basis.
  • Coordinate all maintenance of operational systems, including sales, inventory and fulfillment, revenue sharing tracking and disbursement, and assisting sales and gathering data for financial and sales reporting.
  • Provide direct customer support and troubleshooting for customers and delivery partners related to our online learning management system (Litmos LMS).
  • Support PLT Annual Conference in technology set up, registration, session and program evaluation, and any other support as needed.
  • Provide day-of meeting support for Education pillar meetings and events. 

Program Research and Strategy [20%]:

  • Coordinate strategic data analysis and impact communications to implement programs and initiatives with funding partners.
  • Lead on aggregation, analysis, and visualization of evaluation, performance, and strategy data for individual states, provinces, and countries, nationally, and internationally for overall organizational impact and evaluation.
  • Support additional evaluation strategies and data collection & analysis as needed. 

Program Delivery and Reporting [20%]: 

  • Review, document, and implement content updates for learning management system and website.
  • Provide support for maintaining and improving logistics and IT systems, including e-commerce sites, warehouse management, internal and external program webpages, and analytics dashboard.
  • Support the strategic cross-border integration of data and operational systems. 

Operations and Administrative Support [25%]

  • Provide support for external Education conferences, including managing supplies and shipping.
  • Provide support to SFI operations including managing supplies and shipping for all SFI pillars.
  • Perform other duties as requested. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will not initially have direct employee supervisory responsibilities. 


PHYSICAL DEMANDS / TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Physical requirements include the ability to work from a desk at a computer for prolonged periods of time. Occasional lifting/carrying of up to 25 pounds. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions.


This position requires occasional travel to the US and Canada, up to 15% of time. 


WORK LOCATION

This is a hybrid role. The successful candidate will be required to work from SFI’s office in Washington, DC two days per week, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays as designated in-office days. For the remaining days of the week, you may choose to either work from the office or remotely from your home. SFI reserves the right to increase in-person days to three or more days per week in the future. 


WHAT YOU BRING

Education and Experience  

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required, with a degree in an education field or Associate’s degree with 3+ years of experience specifically in formal education preferred.
  • At least 2 years of work experience required. Paid or volunteer experience in formal or nonformal education would be an asset.
  • Proficiency in information systems and technology, including Microsoft Office suite and WordPress required; advanced level of expertise with Microsoft Excel preferred; capacity to learn new applications quickly and independently required.
  • Experience working with Salesforce would be an asset.
  • Prior experience/awareness of project management, grant management & reporting, or writing & editing would be an asset.
  • French or Spanish language proficiency would be an asset.

  • Consistently completes operational responsibilities on a timely basis.
  • Effectively uses organizational technologies, such as Salesforce, Zoom, MS 365, and software specific to position, and continuously seeks opportunities improve technological proficiency.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

We are committed to equity in our salary practices. The salary range for this position is $54,000 to $64,000; the successful candidate’s actual salary will depend on a number of factors, including geography, education/training, experience, time-in-role, management qualifications (as applicable), and skillset.
