Job Description

Albemarle is hiring for a Technical Writer. This position is located at our Kemerton Site.

What You Will Do

• Developing new specifications, procedures, scopes of work for the Operations department, as well as commissioning procedures and datasheets;

• Work with multi discipline team completing Operations team to obtain the technical details for developing the documentation;

• Utilise advanced skills with Microsoft Office products and Adobe Suite for producing technical manuals;

• Develop technical procedures using clear written form and illustrations, in a logical manner;

• Follow Corporate procedures for developing and reviewing documentation;

• Able to work autonomously and organize work schedules to produce documentation and arrange reviews with key stakeholders in a timely manner;

• Participate in reviews of documentation and requirements with Site Capital Team;

• Ensure early recognition and warning to stakeholders of major changes or gaps in documents for managing Operations safely and efficiently;

• Manage the additional scope or requests for additional documents or reviews within each discipline or area.

What You Bring

Required:

• Previous experience working with or developing and producing technical documents;

• 5 or more years’ experience in producing technical manuals or procedures;

• Advanced skills with MS Office Products (Word and Excel);

• Advanced skills in Adobe products, producing Adobe documentation and having documents reviewed and signed off at various staged for final approval.

Preferred:

• Tertiary qualification with a relevant technical discipline or demonstrated technical ability for producing and editing technical documents highly regarded.
