At AES, we’re accelerating the future of energy in the US. We’re looking for an Analyst, Structures & Pricing in the AES Clean Energy Commercial business. This professional will support and grow with the Structures & Pricing desk, develop and refine deal models and transaction valuations, and partner with other commercial functions in our Origination, Trading, Risk Management and Finance teams. This role is an in-office role based at AES’ Houston, Texas location.

Responsibilities
- Support deal pipeline. Build revenue curves, model deals, structure trades, handle other pricing missions.
- Coordinate with Origination, M&A, and Trading teams to ensure assets and hedges are properly valued.
- Contribute to structured and renewable deal model library.
- Work with Trading and Fundamentals desks to ensure curves and deals are aligned with our market view.
- Work with ETRM team to ensure proper booking and representation of executed transactions.
- Develop deep understanding of market developments affecting renewables, grow skill, and progress career.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in math, sciences, engineering, or finance. Advanced degree desirable.
- 1-2 years relevant work experience in the energy industry, preferably renewables.
- Broad knowledge of US power and gas markets, ideally including renewables and environmental products.
- Familiarity with operating aspects of power assets and valuation of their revenue streams.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Experience using Python.
